Bio

Dr. Kerry Itami, EAMP, helps you in whole-person healing with her paint, poetry, East Asian Medicine, and Energy Medicine.

Art

She writes, paints, composes, meditates, teaches, and practice East Asian Medicine. In her art, she enjoys combining melodic, rhythmic motif, emotion, dissonance, and harmony with words, sound, energy, and paint.

Kerry’s art journey started over 20 years ago; it includes drawing portraits, painting landscapes, and still life.  She moved to explore abstract art and fell in love with it.  Her specialties are archival mixed media: ink, acrylic, paper, clay, charcoal, and graphite.

Healing Work

Besides her career and passion for visual art, founded One Hundred Roots, PLLC as observed a crucial unmet need for cancer patients: while conventional oncology treatments are vital, East Asian Medicine is uniquely suited to address the patient's whole-person healing.

She holds a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine degree and specializes in Integrative Oncology and a degree in Music Technology with composition focus. Her creative outlets include painting and composing music. Growing up and living in different parts of the world, her rich cultural background also guides the creation of her art.  

Enjoyment

When she is not creating nor seeing patients, she enjoys molecular gastronomy, east coast swing dance, hiking, staring at Puget Sound by her studio, meditation, chanting, qigong, compositing medicinal music for internal organs, and writing poems, painting with words.

Her book Cherish: Precious Treasures Poetry collection is now available.
